Continuing the export plan to the European market, Pomina Flat-Steel has completed the delivery of the batch to the Italian market. Previously, Pomina Flat-Steel had successfully exported to Italy with the rolled color-coated steel.
Information about the exported products to the Italian market:
This batch of color-coated cold steel was exported on the Clipper Brunello ship. Accordingly, on January 15, 2022, the ship docked at ODA Cai Mep - Thi Vai port, Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Early on January 19, 2022, the batch completed all export procedures from Pomina Flat-Steel factory warehouse (Phu My Industrial Park) to move to Thi Vai port and complete the final procedures to load the goods onto the ship before heading to Marghera port, Italy.
Information about the batch: White Beige color-coated steel, color code: PWHI13
In addition to meeting the strict technical requirements that Pomina Flat-Steel had previously exported to the Italian market, this batch also meets the EN 10169 standard - a standard for the European export color-coated cold steel.
The coating layer is the result of cooperation between Pomina Flat-Steel and the world's leading paint corporation AkzoNobel, helping the finished product have optimal color durability, enhanced corrosion resistance, and scratch resistance.
Understanding the European Standard EN 10169 for color-coated cold steel:
Color-coated cold steel is a zinc-aluminum alloy-coated steel product widely used in many civil construction works, with a layer thickness of high-quality AZ50 coating, containing 55% Al, 43.5% Zn, and 1.5% Si.
Characteristics of color-coated cold steel:
-
High corrosion resistance, protecting the surface from rust.
-
Diverse and rich colors: suitable for various types of construction.
-
Good heat reflectivity: helps reduce the temperature on roofs and walls.
-
High steel lifespan: color-coated cold steel usually has a lifespan 4 times longer than zinc-coated steel.
What is the European Standard EN 10169?
The European Standard (EN) is data approved by one of the three European standardization organizations (ESOs), including CEN, CENELEC, or ETSI - recognized as having authority in the field of voluntary standardization according to EU 1025/2012 regulations.
European Standards are the best international quality certification criteria, ensuring technical safety for users in cold steel roofing models and ensuring environmental protection required by EU member countries.
Export operations at the Pomina Flat-Steel factory warehouse
Standards are voluntary, meaning there is no legal obligation applied. However, laws and regulations may refer to standards and even make them mandatory.
Importantly, only products that meet European criteria are allowed to circulate in the EU market. Therefore, for the color-coated cold steel exported to Europe, compliance with the EN 10169 standard is mandatory.
Applications of color-coated cold steel
-
Used as roofing for many civil works such as tube houses, townhouses, villas, schools, parking lots...
-
Used in partition structures in warehouses, prefabricated houses, mechanical workshops, office buildings...
-
Also used for gutters, and ventilation pipes... in some projects.
-
Making advertising boards and signs: nameplates for companies, and shops made from color-coated cold steel.
-
Making rolling doors: White color-coated cold steel is often used to make rolling doors for garages, shops, or homes...
